Has your clear stamp stopped sticking to your acrylic block? Don't worry! Over time, dust, ink residue, oils, and other buildup can reduce the cling of a clear stamp. In many cases, a simple cleaning can help restore its ability to stick.

Step 1: Clean Your Clear Stamp

Start by gently cleaning the stamp with mild soap and lukewarm water. This helps remove ink residue, dust, and oils that may be preventing the stamp from sticking.

Avoid using harsh cleaners or chemicals unless they are specifically recommended for your clear stamps, as some cleaners may damage the stamp material.

Step 2: Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the stamp with clean water to remove any remaining soap or residue.

Step 3: Let the Stamp Air-Dry

Place the stamp on a clean, lint-free surface and allow it to air-dry completely.

Don't immediately put the stamp back on its storage sheet while it is wet. Allowing it to dry fully helps ensure that the stamp's natural cling is not affected by leftover moisture.

Step 4: Try Your Acrylic Block Again

Once the stamp is completely dry, press it gently onto a clean acrylic block. Make sure both the stamp and block are free of dust, ink, and other debris.

The stamp should make contact with the block and hold securely.

If Your Clear Stamp Still Won't Cling

If cleaning doesn't restore the cling, check the stamp for excessive wear, damage, or residue. Clear stamps can naturally lose some of their cling over time, especially with frequent use or improper cleaning and storage.

Tip: Keep your clear stamps on their original storage sheet or another smooth, nonporous backing when they're not in use. Store them away from excessive heat and direct sunlight to help maintain their condition.
